SUMMARY:Bicentennial Relay - 200 Miles Celebrating 200 Years
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, November 20th\, a proclamation will be read on the steps of the Capitol in Frankfort\, then placed in a tube and relayed until it reaches Franklin.  The 200 mile relay run will be a celebration that symbolizes the generations and accomplishments of the last 200 years! \nTeams of runners will hand off the proclamation at designated locations between Frankfort and Franklin.  Team Captains are needed to organize a group that will run approximately 20 miles per team. \nFor more information\, follow the City of Franklin’s FaceBook page or email tammie.carey@franklinky.org or call 270.482.5528

SUMMARY:Small Business Saturday (Week)
DESCRIPTION:For the last several years\, the Chamber of Commerce has supported Franklin small businesses by promoting and sponsoring Small Business Saturday.  The event\, usually scheduled for the Saturday after Black Friday will be expanded this year to include the entire week\, November 28 through December 5.  By extending the event\, social distancing will be much easier for customers and will hopefully result in increased sales for participating merchants. \nFor every $20 spent\, customers are allowed one entry in a drawing for a $250\, $150 or $100 Chamber Gift Certificate.  Our small businesses need us more than ever before so the Chamber has decided to give two sets of prizes\, giving six customers the opportunity to win. \nA list of participating merchants will be announced soon!
