Day of Caring in Simpson County

The United Way Day of Caring will be Wednesday, July 26. Day of Caring is a structured volunteer opportunity that provides participants with a peek at volunteering. Businesses and organizations can make a commitment to offer their employees a chance to “step away from their desks.” Volunteers are needed in Simpson County for a project at Franklin-Simpson Nursing and Rehab anytime from 10am to 4pm for as little or as long as the volunteers would like. Volunteers can assist by visiting with the residents, reading a book to a group, or even arranging a Bingo tournament. Volunteers will need to coordinate efforts in advance to ensure activities are approved. For more information, visit www.UnitedWayDayofCaring.com.
