Small Business Saturday, a national movement begun in 2010 by American Express, is Saturday, November 30. Falling between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the idea is to promote business for the small brick and mortar businesses throughout the country.
Locally the Chamber of Commerce is spearheading the observance of this special day. On Small Business Saturday, every customer who purchases from a participating small business will be entered to win a Chamber Gift Certificate. For every $20 spent the customer will receive one entry form and a chance to win a $250, $150 or $100 Chamber Gift Certificate.
